Though the history depends on various things, as differences may imply when it comes to the games or even the comics. However, something that remains the same is Sonic's need for freedom. To go where the wind takes him. He's a drifter, a wanderer; running wherever there's land.More will be added once I have more brain cells.
01 As an inspiration from The Murder of Sonic and confirming what I assumed. Sonic will sleep in strange spots. ( Confirmed by Tails himself! ) So these spots are: Hedges. In the palm tree because why not? He may nap on the Tornado. ( With or without Tails' permission. ) Randomly snoozing in a field of flowers. Sleeping somewhere on a roof. In a washing machine after doing a couple of laps in it. I know, silly of him to do so, but he needs to catch up on his zzz's.
02 And speaking of strange places to sleep in. Things like hedges and flower fields can cause some leaves/flower petals/grass to get stuck in his quills. Sonic isn't always kempt, you know? I find it hard to believe that he's always clean 24/7 here in Green Hill. ( Or anywhere else in the world. ) And most of the time he does not notice nor does he care. He's here to adventure after all and kick ass.
03 He prefers nature over the city any day. Cities are more cramped sometimes. They lack loop-de-loops. He likes more freedom like nature offers. Plus he's a hedgehog. Often seen in the wild. Running happily.
04 His friends are the world to him, and seen in countless things. Sonic will stop to help them. ( Like in Sonic Riders in the opening: Tails was pushed off his Extreme Gear and Sonic stopped to help out his buddy! ) But he knows that they can look after themselves. He is not the mother hen of the group. Sonic truly believes in them. He believes in Amy and her strength and her hammer. He believes in Tails and his flight and his smarts. He believes in Knuckles with his boulder-breaking punches and his loyalty to the Master Emerald. So on and so forth, but he will save them if they need it. ( Like going through all that length like in Sonic Prime to bring them all back to him. )
A lot of these are going to be working in progress. But eventually will be written out! So be patient with me with these verses on here!

30 || Sir Bedivere ( Sonic ) is King Arthur's Marshall. A loyal man turned disloyal for the tyranny that was unleashed onto the lands and kingdom. Bedivere is the sole reason why Caliburn was back in the stone, throwing it back into the lake as Bedivere assumed the Excalibur that Arthur had was corrupting him. ( Just an inspirated by the actual tale that happened for different reasons. ) However, nothing changed and soon Bedivere would learn that he had made a grave mistake. Excalibur was not the object of corruption! It happened to be that fucking SHEATH. ( Can we get an F in the chat, chat. ) And that was the day Arthur's loyal Marshall was no longer loyal to him. An example was made by the sharp cut of his quills as the people watched the blue quills fly into the wind. Bedivere watching in horror, then stabbed as a final warning to those who dare make their move on their King.Fortunately, Bedivere did not die. But his disloyalty has pulled the wool over his eyes. Rarely free as the wind. Bedivere serves, hoping to make amends. While trying to survive and look out for the others. Bedivere was in the dungeons for some time too. ( If following certain lore from the Sonic Media. Likely Six months. )The knight does not speak unless spoken too. He does not act unless ordered too. Is not much a chatterbox not like before. Not when his King had been nice and sweet. The illusion of such things now broken when Arthur swung his sword down on Bedivere.He bears scars of his battles, and one large in his back left by King Arthur. He does sign language at the best of his ability. He also makes hand gestures like: (Gestures to Choke someone with his hands) for someone to understand him more.He may be silent by choice, but my god. Bedivere is still a little shit. He's just very careful. Yet there's something going in the background... Bedivere being a leader of resistance. ( Similar to the Freedom Fighters. But it's a small group. )Bedivere has a Sword and A Shield. His one-handed sword is: Tryfan and his shield is: Cadoc.

A hero is needed again in their hour of need. And with the possession of the Chaos Emeralds and a thought so powerful.Sonic returns, and yet not knowing that so many years had passed. So many people long dead or currently old. Sonic awakes underneath a blooming cherry blossom tree that marks the age of a new spring. Yet he wakes up confused.And sore, and has to walk because all of his strength has been drained. You think being revived will be beneficial? Well, yeah 'cos you're alive but that's it. Whatever else is up to Sonic now.

( Mostly to bear gifts to the children of what he found or what he considered cool! ) Then he's off again to explore the world. Though as a Druid of the Circle of the Land. His task is to also discover ancient secrets towards a certain prism.
